We are pleased to introduce ourselves as Women & Children Foundation Ltd, a corporate health care public limited company with the purpose of providing health care services of International standards at affordable and equitable costs. Our primary aim is to be a modern, technologically advanced, quality assured, self regulated and free-at-the-point of delivery health care provider. We follow British standards of health care guidelines and Protocol in our clinical practice.
Women and Children Foundation Ltd (WCF), is a project promoted by UK-based NRI's. The primary objective of this project is to bring hi-tech healthcare to India. WCF is looking to provide good quality, equitable and affordable health care, which is free at the point of delivery. It is in line with this philosophy that WCF has developed a comprehensive range of services and developed a number of healthcare packages.
Dr Dhanasekaran Rajasekar MBBS, MRCOG, DFFP is the main person behind the whole project. He has done extensive work in women's welfare and has co-ordinated National family planning and sexual health audits for an organisation called, National Health Service, which is based in Scotland. He initiated National Clinical Governance in family planning, which involved policy makers, customers and service providers jointly setting national standards. He is the founder of Puspham Rural Health Service in the limited access areas of South Kerala, which had only five other hospitals to serve a population of 1 million.
We have been providing holistic, comprehensive health care under one roof at an affordable cost for more than 10 years in Chennai. So far we have delivered 13,000 babies and we are the first hospital in India to successfully introduce water birth delivery method. We also pride ourselves to be the first hospital to deliver and save a baby with the lowest birth weight (<700gms) in Chennai.
Here at WCF Hospitals we strive to make quality health care affordable and at equitable costs by providing all our services as packages. We further make our services even affordable by offering instalment payments schemes for our packages as well. This enables to break the barriers of social economic background of the people of Chennai. Community empowerment is our primary focus of attention.
